Activities


	Developing social and cultural activities.

	Providing information to schools and other establishments about cultural issues.
	Raising awareness through multicultural events.
	Improving access to services.

We have worked closely with Age Concern in providing support for the Asian Communities in Welwyn Hatfield to establish the Asian Luncheon Club. This is now running under its own auspices.

Kaleidoscope Festival
Our annual cultural celebration festival (Kaleidoscope 2010) is planned for 17th July. The theme for the festival is community cohesion and celebration of diversity. To get involved, either email whemg@yahoo.co.uk, or phone 01707 262548.

Community Mentoring Project
We were successful in gaining funding from Hertfordshire County Council to run a second phase of our community mentoring project targeting mainly black and minority ethnic young people in local schools.
